For the diving enthusiast or even those interested in learning the location of Mazarron provides the best diving conditions in Murcia if not he whole of Spain. Situated between “Punta de Calnegre” and “Cabo Tiñoso” in the Murcia area of south-east Spain, Mazarrón bay is an ideal location for learning or practising. Its non polluted coast,the weather conditions, and more than 300 days of sun per year offer the possibility to practise this sport all year round,with an average water temperature of 21ºC (14ºC in winter and 28ºC in summer) It is no surprise that most of the diving centers keep open the whole year.

The quality of diving in Mazarron is astounding for scenery and variety. Around the Bay of Mazarron, the adjacent cliffs of La Azohia and Cabo Tinoso there are more than fifteen dive sites (one site alone has around 20 wrecks from 5 meters up to 30 meters in length, each one in a different state of decomposition) all with a great variety of flora and fauna. These locations offer differing profiles of depth—from shallow for trainees and the less experienced, or down to 40 meters for those qualified to do so. Choose between diving walls, caves, wrecks and reefs where tides and currents are negligible, with excellent visibility ( 5 meter viz is really bad here).

The coast line from the Bay of Mazarron right up to Cabo Tinoso is teeming with Fishlife, Octopus and Nudibranchs etc. with a fantastic variety of marine fauna and flora that make this a most attractive resort for scuba diving and snorkeling.
